Bristol / Kingsport KOA Holiday is conveniently situated at 425 Rocky Branch Rd, Blountville, TN 37617, USA. Its location is a significant advantage for travelers and locals alike due to its excellent accessibility to major transportation arteries and key regional attractions. The campground is just off US Highway 70 East and, more importantly, only four miles from Exit 63 on I-81. I-81 is a crucial interstate corridor connecting many parts of Tennessee to Virginia and beyond, making the KOA a natural and easy stop for those on longer road trips or arriving from other areas of the state. Beyond its highway access, the campground's location in Blountville places it in the heart of the "Tri-Cities" region (Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson City), providing easy access to a wealth of local amenities, dining options, and cultural sites. For NASCAR fans, its proximity to Bristol Motor Speedway is a huge draw. The area also boasts scenic beauty, historical sites, and outdoor recreation opportunities, making it a versatile basecamp. The explicit direction to "turn in the opposite direction of the Tri-Cities airport" from I-81 Exit 63 ensures clear navigation for arriving guests. This blend of accessibility and serene seclusion makes it an ideal spot for any Tennessean looking for convenience without sacrificing tranquility.

Bristol / Kingsport KOA Holiday Reviews
Sites could use a good bit grading. Staff was very friendly and they offered an escort for our bus to the site. The road winds back to get to it. It was far enough away from the interstate to not hear the road and a quite campground.
Jun 26, 2025 · Aaron PendergrassThe staff was very friendly and we felt so welcomed there. We had great fun and if you need anything there, the staff is right there helping you. They take nice care of the campground. I have no complaints.
May 08, 2025 · Robert RichardOwners are working to upgrade and keep the sites nice and welcoming. Only challenge are the steep turns into the main lanes to get to the sites from the entrance. The third one , farthest away from the office has the most gentle slope and is the one we will use to get in and out from now on. Staff is friendly and helpful.
May 08, 2025 · jmca dWe stayed in our motorhome… We had a space booked that came with a what I thought was a “Private Deck” nope the lots are so close my neighbors door is right outside my door… I didn’t ask for a “Buddy Site”… No yard area for my dog to use the bathroom. Guest next to us so close they just came right over and put hands inside my dog playpen I had on deck and touched my dogs without asking. Wouldn’t leave my dogs alone and husband had to tell them to leave “Our Area”.. No privacy and I will not be returning… When ur camping and on vacation you should have ur own space not on top of ur neighbor. Couldn’t even sit on deck bc they came out and was less then 2feet from the deck talking and what not and just no privacy again. Very Disappointed.Staff was friendly …. But will not returnPets supposed to be on a leash and our neighbor had hers off and they came right to our deck…
May 18, 2025 · Stephanie AllenDo not book a stay here if bad weather is anticipated. We traveled from Florida to Bristol with no problems. Once we made the turn onto the road that was 1/4 mile from the campground everything changed. The road was snow covered and straight up hill. We barely made it to the campground and had grooves in our new tires and an overworked engine with a camper that barely made it. We have a 350 dually more than capable of towing our fifth wheel. Then we slid our way into our assigned spot where the water was not working. Looked beautiful if weather was nice but left a bad taste for us. We feel they should have called to let us know we would not be able to get in.
