Pompano Beach itself is a highly desirable area, known for its beautiful beaches, fishing pier, diverse dining options, and recreational activities.
The resort is approximately two miles from the beautiful Atlantic coast beaches, allowing for quick and easy access to sun, sand, and surf. For those without an RV, or who prefer local transportation, the proximity to a Walmart (about 1 mile away) ensures that grocery shopping and other essentials are just a short drive or even a walkable distance. Furthermore, the surrounding area boasts an abundance of restaurants, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
Breezy Hill Resort's location is also strategically positioned for accessing the greater Fort Lauderdale area, which is easily reachable by I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. Breezy Hill Resort offers a comprehensive range of services and amenities designed to ensure a comfortable, entertaining, and convenient stay for its guests and residents. While some areas, like the laundry facilities, may receive mixed feedback, the overall offerings contribute to a pleasant experience:
- RV Sites with Full Hookups: The resort provides numerous RV sites, generally with full hookups (30/50 AMP electric, water, sewer) to accommodate various RV sizes. While some sites might be noted as tight or have sewer connections located centrally, they offer essential services.
- Two Swimming Pools: Guests can enjoy two distinct swimming pools. One is heated to a comfortable 90 degrees Fahrenheit, perfect for year-round enjoyment, while the other is unheated but still suitable for a refreshing dip. The pools are consistently described as warm and clean.
- Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry facilities are available for guest convenience. While some reviews mention cleanliness issues with the machines, the service itself is provided.
- Billiards Room: A dedicated billiards room features multiple tables (up to six) for guests to enjoy games and socialize.
- Outdoor Games: The resort offers various outdoor recreational opportunities, including shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, and bocce ball (including Canadian bocce), encouraging active participation and friendly competition.
- Community Clubhouse/Recreation Hall: A central gathering place for residents and guests, hosting various planned activities and events.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: Breezy Hill Resort is pet-friendly, allowing dogs (with leash requirements and other potential restrictions; it's always best to confirm directly with the resort for specifics on pet size or quantity restrictions). However, guests are expected to clean up after their pets, and dedicated pet wash areas may be available (though cold water may be a factor).
- Planned Activities & Events: The resort offers a variety of organized activities, which can include dances, English lessons (catering to its diverse community), craft fairs, flea markets, pool parties, potlucks, and live entertainment, fostering a strong community engagement.

- Abundance of Activities: With billiards, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and bocce, there are ample opportunities for structured and informal entertainment, encouraging social interaction. The resort also offers a variety of planned activities and events.
- Cleanliness (General Areas): While the laundry room has received specific complaints, the general grounds and pool areas are often noted for their cleanliness and good maintenance.
- Predominantly Canadian Occupancy: A unique cultural highlight is the significant presence of French-speaking Canadian residents, particularly during the winter season. This creates a distinct cultural ambiance and offers opportunities for cultural exchange, though some non-French speakers might find a language barrier for deeper social connections.
- Proximity to Town Conveniences: Being just one mile from a Walmart and surrounded by numerous restaurants offers immense convenience, allowing guests easy access to necessities and dining without extensive travel.
- Security and Safety: The gated access contributes to a feeling of safety within the resort, which is a key factor for many travelers and residents.

Breezy Hill Resort Reviews
I would go back to this place, is nice, I felt safe, there’s a strong community , in the contrary of what lots of reviews say people it’s been very nice to us during this stay! The pool is very warm and clean, in general lots of spaces for entertainment, my one complaint would be the laundry, its very dirty! I find it very rude to clean your pets stuff and then to leave it like the picture. In general i would recommend!
Feb 01, 2025 · Vivi Cuberos99% Canadian occupied, very clean original Florida rv park. All postings in park in French, as was everyone speaking here...in Florida? Good location, 2 pools; one heated at 90 and other not heated, but was ok for us. Rv sites are shared and our site had no room except a raised concrete walk on one side, 8'x14'. Billiards room w 6 tabled, laundry, one very small shower at rear bathroom. Shuffle board, horseshoes, bocce, Canadian bocce, lots to do if you know people. 1 mile to walmart, restauants everywhere. Would stay again, but short term.
Mar 03, 2025 · Laura HattonOne of the worst RV parks in the country. This place is a parking lot, where each RV is 2ft from each other. The sewer in every spot is situated directly under the middle of the RV, so you have to crawl on your belly to hook up. Two of the staff members were extremely rude. To top off everything, they had printouts in another language and told me they did not have one in English. Avoid at all cost!!!
Dec 07, 2024 · Kyle HoffnerThe people who work there are OK. The facility is so so the gate is broken. Often the area around it is terrible. There is gunshots and people living in the parking lot bordering the facility. There’s weird shenanigans where I call the police at the park just a block away when I was walking my dog.
Nov 08, 2024 · Gion GoldI am amazed that the Florida community near this park hasn’t challenged the city or the county or even the state about how they allow these parks to fill up with 95% French Canadians. The people are absolutely rude! They take over the pools and the few amenities that the park actually has. There should be a limit on how long they can stay in this country and there should also be a limit to how many of them are in the parks. No more than 49% of them should be able to make reservations at a time. Give us Americans the right to have the park in English with French and Spanish words after their words. This park should be protested and the government should be on their case. Absolutely have been invaded again by the French and nobody is doing anything about it. Unbelievable!
