Based on typical campground practices and customer service, it's worth inquiring about the following:
Off-Season Rates: Campgrounds often offer reduced rates during the shoulder seasons (late spring or early fall) when demand is slightly lower but the weather can still be beautiful for camping. Visitors in May, for example, noted the quiet atmosphere and excellent conditions.
Extended Stay Discounts: Sometimes, booking for a longer duration (e.g., a week or more) might qualify for a reduced nightly rate. This is common practice to encourage longer visits.
Loyalty Programs: For returning customers, some campgrounds may offer small tokens of appreciation or special booking opportunities. Given the family-owned nature, building rapport could lead to personalized offers.
Last-Minute Deals: Occasionally, if there are unexpected cancellations or last-minute availability, campgrounds might offer a slight discount to fill open spots. It never hurts to ask!
Holiday Weekend Packages: While popular, some campgrounds might bundle special activities or slightly adjusted rates for major holiday weekends, though these tend to be in high demand.

Branch Lake Camping Area Reviews
My friends and I camped here last week (May 15th-May 17th) the staff was very friendly, the lake had a beautiful view with docks, the campground was very quiet (granted it was the very first day the campground opened for the season). I highly recommend this campground.
May 20, 2025 · Ashley MercierEven though there are fewer camping spots for tents at this camping, the installations were perfect for tents and I had zero problems staying there three nights in a row. The owners are amazing people. They were present everyday and they had solutions to all our problems. They are extremely nice. I saw them sitting by a fire and talking with some of the campers several times. We could also buy wood and ice at the camping, something that I loved. Finally, the direct access to the lake was surely a plus. Would surely recommend this camping to anyone who’s looking for a place to stay. It’s also only a 40 minutes ride to Acadia National Park.
Jun 22, 2024 · Hubert RenaudThis is a nice RV park with reasonable rates and within an hour of Acadia national park.It is fairly quiet and has water frontage on branch lake. They have a few full hookup sites. But also offer pump out services. We would not hesitate to stay at branch brook camping area next time we are in the area.
Jul 27, 2024 · Christopher KidneyAn absolutely picture perfect campground. Each spot is tree covered. The spots are level. The lake is amazing. And the staff are friendly and kind. I can't wait to come back!
Aug 25, 2024 · CathyAdele BPulled into the campground late afternoon on a Thursday. After plugging in our electric, the default on our system shut down the electric because of a faulty "shore ground". Later that night, after dark, I reported it to Shawn (one of the owners). I made it clear that I did NOT want anyone working on outdoor electrical system at night and asked to run our generator. He immediately gave me permission. At 5:00AM the next morning, an electrician made the trip out to the campsite. By 7:00AM it was working perfectly. The following Saturday was a free pancake breakfast, sausage, bacon, breakfast sandwiches, etc., for not just the residents but also some local friends. These people are wonderful, they treat you like family. Lots of well-mannered kids enjoying the great playground and the swimming area on the lake. The location is prefect to explore Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Ellsworth, Brewer and Bangor Maine. You can certainly find other RV campsites closer to Bar Harbor/Acadia, but you won't find one as friendly, accommodating or better priced. You can pay twice as much to camp and have half the experience, or (if you are very fortunate) you can set up your RV at this wonderful location. A wonderful location for any family.
