My 1st time going there. I loved it. Huge shade trees with lots of grass. A playground for kids . The only problem i "heard" that the restrooms were gross. However I didn't use them so I'm not sure. Very beautiful weather on Easter 2025 perfect!. I wasnt aware it was even there. Im not sure if you can camp over night there as well. But worth looking into. There are bbq areas as well. But I believe you now have to reserve them. - S S (Sheri)

Introduction / Overview

Bogart County Park, located in Cherry Valley, CA, is a regional park managed by the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District, offering a refreshing and spacious outdoor environment. It’s known for its hundreds of acres of recreation area, featuring a mix of rolling hills, open spaces, and plenty of "huge shade trees with lots of grass." This park caters to a wide range of activities, making it popular for day-use picnics, family gatherings, and overnight camping. It boasts a "playground for kids," making it an attractive spot for families. While some visitors have mentioned concerns about restroom cleanliness, this is not a universal experience, and the park continually strives for improvement. Reviews highlight the park's scenic beauty and pleasant weather, especially during cooler seasons. It’s an ideal spot for those seeking a relaxed camping experience without the feeling of being crowded, even if it "can get crowded on buddy weekends." The park aims to be a regional destination, appealing to visitors from across Southern California who seek camping, equestrian trails, hiking, biking, and more, all within a beautiful natural setting.

Location and Accessibility

Bogart County Park is conveniently situated at Bogart County Park, Cherry Valley, CA 92223, USA. This location places it strategically in Riverside County, offering excellent accessibility from major Southern California cities. Located just a few miles from the communities of Beaumont and Banning, and within reasonable driving distance of larger metropolitan areas like Riverside, San Bernardino, and even parts of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, it’s an ideal spot for a local getaway. Access to the park is generally via well-maintained paved roads, making it easy to reach for all types of vehicles, including RVs and trailers. However, visitors with larger rigs (over 30 feet, especially Class A's and 5th wheels) should be aware that "most sites are sloped some less than others, and most flat spots are very short," as noted by a recent RVer. The park's entrance has an automated gate, and it's advisable to check reservation details for gate codes. Its setting in a canyon in the foothills, complete with a creek and numerous oak trees, means it often enjoys a "cooler place when the weather is too hot elsewhere," adding to its appeal during warmer months.
