Bluff Springs Recreation Area Reviews
Stopped through otw to South Fl, was kinda scared we would get robbed. They really need to clean the road and make the residents clean up around their houses by there up especially that one to the left!Seen scrap yards with less junk! This wouldn't fly in TN where I'm from Code enforcement and EPA would be on you like these monster mosquitoes here. Other than being nervous that my stuff would get stolen if I was to leave it would be a great place. Clean up Florida!
Jun 18, 2025 · ShaunGreat secluded location off the beaten path. Free camping with online registration. The registration was quick and easy. Four campsites total. Each campsite had a Pavillion covered tent area, picnic table, fire ring and grill provided free of charge. The only downside, in my opinion, is it was a bit difficult to find for us non locals, as there aren't signs to guide you back to the camping area. I would say be observant and mindful of pets and leaving food in the open, as there are alligators in the area. Saw one the morning I was packing up, swimming across the lake right behind where my tent was set up.
Jul 09, 2023 · Shawna ArbogastCamped here for free! Just sign in online. The site was simple, secluded, and sandy. Swam in the Escambia in the morning.
Jul 02, 2023 · JT GrayNice place, but the reservations system for all these free campgrounds managed by nwfl water doesn't work. They should get rid of it altogether or charge $10/night or so because people eat up the slots in advance and don't show up making it so others miss out because they think it's full. The people in charge don't seem aware of this. No one is keeping track.
