Blue Springs Ranch Reviews
We love blue springs. Easy drive from Illinois and so fun. We always end up getting there late and I’ve called when we are close to let them know it will be after hours, they have waited for us and are so nice! The river stretch is great and there is river access from two points of the campground. The only downside was the last time we were there, there was a tornado when we were on the river, we tried to get off half way but were told we had to float on. We Couldn’t call them to tell them we needed off and they didn’t come look for us
Jun 04, 2025 · Kim AustinBooked specifically for the activity options like horseback riding, pool, and zip line. The pool is tiny for this size of campground and severely overcrowded. They don’t do horseback riding anymore and they no longer have a zip line. Also, the bathrooms near the pool are horrible! There’s nowhere to set your things in the showers, and the hooks are on the direct line of the shower stream. For the price you pay to stay here, it should be much better. We won’t be back.
Jul 05, 2025 · Whitney SThe staff were not friendly, nor were they polite. And absolutely poor communication all the way around. The cabin was mediocre. We were expected to wash the dishes and put them away prior to leaving. However, no soap or cleaning supplies were available. I have more examples but the point is that I wouldn't recommend staying here. If passing through, the Onondaga Cave was super cool!
Jul 03, 2025 · Whitney OdenThis was my family and I’s fourth time coming to BSR. We LOVE it. Clean cabins, friendly staff, beautiful area. We usually go on a 10 mile float with a canoe and/or kayaks. This time we went with the raft to relax a bit more. They only allow you to do the 5 mile on a raft though, and I wish they would allow you to do the 10. The float went by wayyyyy too fast only doing 5 miles. Also, the top lock on the front door of our cabin didn’t work and it made my mom feel really unsafe. Hopefully they see this and get them fixed. Lastly, we were interested in staying in a covered wagon but there were no photos of the inside of them on the website. Maybe they’ll update that soon. Overall it was a great experience, we will be back!
Jun 03, 2025 · Jaden BattelleThere's different sections spots located all over so people are spread out and not too over crowded. You get privacy and it's great for small children. We go multiple times a summer
