What is worth choosing this campground?
What makes Big Cove Campground a truly worthwhile choice for your next Tennessee camping trip is its unique combination of simplicity and quality. For many, the absence of electric and water hookups is a feature, not a drawback. It means the campground attracts campers who genuinely appreciate the quiet, back-to-nature feel, creating a peaceful community of like-minded individuals. This is the place to go if you want to fall asleep to the sounds of nature, not the hum of RV generators. The consistent praise for its cleanliness and well-maintained amenities, particularly the restrooms and hot showers, reassures visitors that even without the modern hookups, their stay will be comfortable and refreshing. This is a rare find in a world where many campgrounds are becoming more commercialized.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great campground for family camping. We took my daughter for her first overnight camping experience and it was great. The tent pads are large and available right next to the vehicle. The restrooms are clean and well maintained - there are even showers available as well as an outside dishwashing station. We only stayed a single night just to see if my daughter enjoyed it, but I’m sure we’ll be back many times in the future. No complaints at all about the stay - great campground, not too out of the way, and excellent amenities for families with kids.
October 08 · Adam ByramGood location, quiet, lots of campfires🔥 burning. Good shower house. Popular. One of the few real getaway campgrounds still out there. Accessible with no electric, no water, no sewer hookups , perfect.
October 16 · Mark FrenchVery cool to see and walk in the same area where some of the most amazing athletes exhibited incredible examples of human strength happened. Beautiful park!
June 24 · Jeremy WarrenBeautiful camping area with a centrally located bath house. Everything was well maintained and the bathrooms were very clean, much better than I expected for a state park. There were also plenty of trash bins so you didn't have to walk far. Campsites all have tables, fire rings, and grills. We really enjoyed our visit.
October 28 · Patrick HolcombeDefinitely our go to camping place! Quiet, relaxing, convenient to a store, hiking, creak, activities some weekends, clean bathrooms.....
