Bells Island Campground Reviews
I am writing to give Sandy at Bells Island campground 5 stars for her hospitality. My husband and I traveled the Intercoastal Waterway on a small sailboat. Sandy went out of her way to telephone and text with me about their beautiful campground on the water. We ended up not staying at Bells Island on account of timing, but she came out to the dock and we waved as we passed!
Mar 26, 2025 · Janet WagnerBeautiful area and the kindest people. I arrived later than I hoped and in the dark and had never been there. I called once I turned onto the road and he had the tenant meet me, she was so incredibly kind and made sure I was parked, set up, and even walked me to the bathrooms and showers to make sure I felt safe arriving in a strange place in the dark. Truly the kindest gesture, also just so beautiful there, showers and bathroom basic but clean and warm :)
Oct 27, 2024 · Rosie LewinskiQuiet & easy to find & friendly service. Very reasonable rates! Will visit again!
May 18, 2025 · Joyce RayA campground hidden, way back, from the main road. If you blink you can easily miss the road to turn on to. The park does not have paved or asphalt roads but ill maintained gravel. And both bathroom houses were closed for use. The lots are small but have the necessary camper hook up and the view is beautiful however the price is too high, in my opinion, for the few amenities that this place boasts. It's more of an overpriced tiny cottage house campground. The upkeep for the property is subpar in my opinion. A one way in and out gravel road with holes to avoid. Disheveled/ dilapidated wooden structure on the property makes it look cheap. A small pier to fish off of was the only positive about this camping ground aside from the view. Even the view was blocked by some tiny homes that lacked up keep. They also charge you for having guests that may visit you while you're here; at $2 a head, how ridiculous.
Mar 28, 2024 · Kaleidoscopic RetrospectThis place is such a gem!!! Clean bathrooms, excellent water front campsites and the host is just the most wonderful man!! He came to say hello and welcome with his darling dog Diva (cutest teacup chihuahua). This is the perfect, off the beaten path spot to stay for the night or three! If you come here, you’ll be happily surprised by the kind neighbors, amazing water views and cool breeze. Please don’t drive through this area and miss this place. 10/10 recommend!!!!
