Belle and Beau Acres Introduce
Welcome to Belle & Beau Acres, a unique and tranquil camping farm located in the heart of Baxter, Tennessee. For Tennessee locals seeking a genuine, primitive camping experience away from the crowded RV parks, this spot is an absolute gem. It’s more than just a place to set up a tent; it’s a serene nature escape that provides a deep connection to the outdoors. As a women-owned business, Belle & Beau Acres offers a particularly welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, identifying as an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space. This focus on creating a supportive and respectful environment makes it a standout choice for anyone looking for a peaceful and accepting retreat.
The founders have cultivated a space that is defined by its natural beauty and a commitment to genuine hospitality. The host, Christine, is consistently praised for her "excellent communication, patience, and helpfulness," which is particularly valuable for those who may be new to primitive camping. The captivating photos of the site are not a trick; the campground is truly stunning, "nestled at the heart of a serene waterfall and creek." This picturesque and tranquil setting is what sets Belle & Beau Acres apart, providing a backdrop of natural sounds and beautiful sights that are perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Belle & Beau Acres is a primitive campsite by design, meaning it offers a true wilderness experience. It lacks modern amenities like electricity, running water, and sewage, which is a key part of its rustic charm. This is a deliberate choice for those who love to "rough it" and appreciate a camping experience that is fully immersed in nature. The lack of these amenities is an opportunity to truly disconnect and enjoy the simple pleasures of the outdoors. However, the convenience of "parking right next to our site" makes managing without electricity and running water much more manageable, as campers can easily bring in their own supplies.
The campground is well-suited for families and individuals alike. It is "good for kids," providing an open and natural space for them to explore and play. The campsites are "well-spaced, ensuring privacy despite the presence of other campers." This means you can enjoy your own secluded spot without feeling like you’re on top of your neighbors. For those who love hiking, Belle & Beau Acres is a perfect base camp. It's a "hiking area" and is located near "some of Eastern Tennessee’s best hiking trails and waterfalls," offering endless opportunities for outdoor adventure right at your doorstep.
The experience at Belle & Beau Acres is about embracing nature as it is. Visitors should be prepared for the natural elements, such as hot and humid summer nights and mosquitoes. While these are part of the authentic outdoor experience, a little preparation can go a long way in ensuring a comfortable stay. The beauty of the creek and waterfall, the serene wooded setting, and the friendly, inclusive atmosphere far outweigh any minor inconveniences. The sense of community and the genuine care of the host, Christine, are what make this campground a truly special place.
The park is a great choice for those who want to get away from the typical RV camp crowds. It is designed for tent campers who "love the natural beauty and serenity of the woods." The secluded location, while rustic, is a major selling point for those seeking a peaceful and quiet retreat. Belle & Beau Acres also welcomes dogs, so you can bring your beloved pets along to enjoy the camping trip with you. The "free parking lot" also adds to the convenience and affordability of a stay here.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We chose Belle & Beau Acres for our family camping trip due to its local proximity, affordability, and stellar reviews with captivating photos. From start to finish, our experience was fantastic, largely thanks to Christine, the host. Her excellent communication, patience, and helpfulness made our first family camping trip in years smooth and enjoyable. The campsite is stunning, nestled at the heart of a serene waterfall and creek, offering a picturesque and tranquil setting. The sites are well-spaced, ensuring privacy despite the presence of other campers. However, as a primitive campsite, it lacks electricity, running water, and sewage, which might be challenging for beginners. We visited in June, and while the days were beautiful, the hot, humid nights brought relentless mosquitoes, which was tricky to manage. The convenience of parking right next to our site made bringing water and managing without electricity manageable. My only suggestions for improvement would be adding a few more attractions and possibly central sewage to enhance comfort. Despite these minor drawbacks, Belle & Beau Acres is a gem for those seeking a true nature escape. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return with friends!
June 27 · Mari AshHuge shoutout to Belle & Beau Acres! Such an awesome campsite, friendly customer service, and a great location near some of Eastern Tennessee’s best hiking trails and waterfalls. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for tent sites away from an RV camp…especially if you love the natural beauty and serenity of the woods.
March 14 · Jeremy WheelerWe were blown away with the work Christine put into Belle and Beau Acres. The property map was super fun, and instructions were really clear. Camping in a place that is kept so well was wonderful, there was plenty space between sites, and it just felt safe. The trail to the river was super cool, and the comfort station was incredible. Would love to stay again.
April 09 · Geneva EI stayed at campsite #2 - it was wonderful! The property is easy to find and very peaceful. Hiking into the site wasn't nearly as bad as hiking OUT! My pups enjoyed the secluded nature and had fun in the river. Host was super easy to communicate with, and the firewood sold on site was perfect! Overall a great location, especially convenient for nearby waterfalls! GREAT STAY!
September 09 · Rachel StayerThis place!!!!! I was over the moon with my two night stay on site d! It is a little hike into camp but I would not have changed it for anything! My site was a very private little riverside oasis. My dog enjoyed playing in the water as I read my book in the comfort of my hammock, enjoying all of the soothing sounds around me. There were chairs and a fire pit already set up with a grill grate so dinner was easy to heat up! All of the campsites are pretty spread out so it’s like you have the entire woods to yourself! There are drive in sites as well as hike in (which I prefer, although it is an uphill hike to your car! Not too bad though, I managed all of my things and a full sized cooler by myself). There is a comfort station that is full of thoughtfulness! There was an outdoor shower if needed, a changing room, and even a mirror to get ready in front of. There are are quite a few trails on the property including a waterfall that are on my list for my next visit because I am definitely going to book here again! Highly, highly recommend!
