Beaver Dam Campground

2662 Westbourne Rd, Duff, TN 37729, USA

4.0
It's on a dirt road and alot of traffic on this rd. It's still in the development stages. So no water, no sewage hook ups and only 30 amp electric hook ups. Very, very, very, dusty. Also you are in between 2 ponds so alot of mosquitoes. They have a lot of work to do. First they need to pave the rd at least past the campground. - Lisa Richardson

Beaver Dam Campground Introduce

Are you a Tennessee local searching for a tranquil and unassuming place to unwind and reconnect with nature? Sometimes the most memorable outdoor experiences aren't found at bustling resorts, but in quiet corners where simplicity reigns. Beaver Dam Campground in Duff, TN, offers just such an opportunity. While still in its developmental stages, this campground is already winning over campers who appreciate a peaceful, intimate setting for their outdoor adventures.

Beaver Dam Campground is more than just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it's a burgeoning destination where you can escape the noise and embrace the calm of rural Tennessee. It's a place for those who prefer the gentle sounds of nature to the clamor of crowds, and who value a quiet, small environment. As it continues to evolve, it promises to be a hidden gem for campers seeking a truly relaxed and unpretentious experience in the heart of East Tennessee.

Location and Accessibility

Beaver Dam Campground is located at 2662 Westbourne Rd, Duff, TN 37729, USA. This address places it in the beautiful, rural landscape of Campbell County in East Tennessee. Duff is a small community, offering a genuine taste of serene country living, far from the hustle and bustle of major cities.

For Tennessee residents, accessing Beaver Dam Campground involves a journey into a more secluded area. While the address is clearly defined for GPS navigation, it is important to note, as one reviewer mentioned, that the campground is situated on a dirt road. This is a common characteristic of many rural campgrounds and adds to the rustic appeal, but campers should be prepared for unpaved surfaces leading to the site. The tranquility offered by this more remote location is a significant draw for those looking to truly disconnect.

The campground's setting between two ponds is a key geographical feature, enhancing its natural charm. While this can contribute to the presence of mosquitoes, as noted in a review, it also provides picturesque views and potential opportunities for leisurely pondside relaxation. The overall accessibility makes it a viable option for a getaway from various parts of Tennessee, especially for those in East Tennessee, who are seeking a truly quiet and natural camping experience. Despite its rural setting, the journey allows you to progressively shed the stresses of urban life as you approach this peaceful retreat.

Services Offered
  • 30 Amp Electric Hookups: Beaver Dam Campground currently offers 30 amp electric hookups at its sites. This provides essential power for RVs and campers, allowing for lighting, basic appliances, and charging devices, contributing to a comfortable stay in a more rustic setting.

  • Access to Ponds: The campground is uniquely situated between two ponds, offering scenic views and opportunities for enjoyment near the water. While not explicitly stated as a service, the presence of these ponds is a natural feature that contributes to the camping experience.

It is important for prospective campers to note that, as of recent customer reviews, the campground is "still in the development stages." This means that traditional amenities often found at more established campgrounds, such as water and sewage hookups, may not be available at every site, and the road leading to the campground is unpaved and can be dusty. Campers should plan accordingly, preparing for a more primitive camping experience in terms of utility hookups, bringing their own water supplies, and managing waste responsibly.
