Bear Lake Campground Reviews
We had a good weekend at Bear Lake campground. It was very buggy when we arrived but we sprayed the campsite and it got much better the next day! We were in site 17 on the lake and it was beautiful. My kids enjoyed fishing from the shore. Caught six big rock bass. We had the whole area to ourselves, no other campers were around us. It was so peaceful and just what we needed. We took the path to Little cub Lake and only caught a little perch. But the mosquitos were horrible there. My husband also took some kids on the Rat River Trail on their bikes. Our trip was May 29-June 1st.
Jun 02, 2025 · Kristen & Joel TollyBeautiful campground and lake. The host was so kind and helpful. The pit toilets were the cleanest I've EVER seen anywhere. Nearby was a trail to the Rat River that I highly recommend. It was so beautiful. We will be visiting here again and again. The only downside is that there are no showers here, so plan accordingly.
Oct 03, 2024 · Cindy LouDefinately a hidden gem in Northern Wisconsin. Perfect place to camp. Small campground, no motor lake, small campsites so no monstrous campers can fit. Toilets and campsites are super clean. Views are great, it is mostly quiet, and peaceful. Next to boondocking in the wild this place is the place to be. I will be back again.
Aug 07, 2023 · Arthur M AndersonTranquil, rustic, smaller campground. Nice trail for walking or biking across the street that goes several miles along old logging railroad by the Rat River.
Aug 16, 2024 · Chris HortonLoved it so much even on a chilly night. Our site was right on the water with steps to get down to the shore. Very quiet an peaceful in the woods. Heard and saw some loons! Clean bathrooms. We will definitely be back. Great place to reconnect with nature.
