For those of us living in Maine, the call of the coast is often irresistible, especially when summer truly settles in. Wells, with its beautiful beaches and classic New England charm, is a perennial favorite for a quick escape or a full-blown vacation. If you're looking for a convenient and family-friendly spot to set up camp or park your RV near the ocean, Beach Acres Tent Sites & Park in Wells offers a diverse range of options. This family-owned seasonal mobile home park, trailer park, and campground provides a blend of comfort and natural beauty, making it a great destination for creating lasting memories right here in our home state. Whether you prefer the simplicity of a tent site or the amenities of a full-hookup RV spot, Beach Acres aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
While experiences can vary, Beach Acres has certainly made an impression on its guests. One seasonal resident enthusiastically shared, "I'm a seasonal at Beach Acres and it is the best park on the Seacoast. Reasonably priced compared to most of the parks and less than a mile to the water. Owners are super nice." This highlights the value and friendly environment that many appreciate. However, it's worth noting that some experiences differ, especially concerning more rustic camping options. One camper noted, "It's a great field. No firepits, tables, or bathrooms. Literally just a grass lot. It worked for what I was there for which was parking for the Maine Coast Half Marathon but for camping, there's nothing to be had. And it's hard to find because it's actually back in the mobile home park to the south. Maps navigates you to the north side of the mobile home park. It was very confusing." This review underscores the importance of understanding the specific type of site you are booking, as Beach Acres offers a range from basic tent fields to fully equipped RV sites, and clarifies the physical location within the larger mobile home park.

Apr 23, 2025 · Linda HooperThe experience itself was good. Facilities were clean. Staff was friendly. Overall, we had a great experience. Only issue for us was the amount of skunks that walked around at night. They were not afraid of people and very food driven. One came right up to my chair and stole a marshmallow. Another night, it came right into my tente because the kids had left food goldfish crackers there. They were not afraid of humans. Having said that, we only smelled skunk 2x in the five nights we were there. But definitely a problem that needs to be dealt with.
Aug 17, 2023 · Jennifer PatrickMy family has been coming to Beach Acres Campground for over 38 years. With amenities for all ages, pool, playground, basketball, horseshoe and shuffle board courts. And just walking distance to Scoop Deck for a sweet treat or to Wells Beach. Beautiful spot for our Summer getaway.
Jul 24, 2022 · Brittany Roystayed here for 1 night and enjoyed it. tent area seems to normally be a big field with not much space between people, but we wound up getting one of the few tent sites separate from the rest and was quite private and nice. not sure if we just got lucky. we were able to reserve the spot last minute without problems. they have a good size bathroom and shower, and also a playground and pool. lots of people around having late fires and outside late into the night. short drive to the beach and a Hannaford supermarket with food and alcohol. Ice cream place down the street. normal price for camp in the area seemingly.
