Badin Lake Campground Upper Loop Reviews
Been coming out here for many years with family and always have a great time. Came out with a friend this past weekend for a nice getaway and was not disappointed! We booked site 029 in the Upper Loop Campground & it was the perfect spot. Lots of natural shade for those hot days, bathrooms/showers and trash close by, & the lake a perfect little walk away from the site. You can even see the water some through the trees which was nice too. I will say there isn't much access on this side for swimming or paddle boarding so it's about 35-40 mins to the public access swimming area of the park. There is a little area or two to get in with a kayak though close to the site.Overall great stay! Affordable and peaceful.
Jun 11, 2025 · AimlameWe had a great time camping. The camping spots were clean and free of trash. There was a picnic table, a fire pit, and a gravel spot for your tent and car. There are water spouts and trash bins located around the camping grounds. You will see them when you drive in to find your camping spot. A short walk away is the lake you can fish at or take a short hike. Very beautiful place. Would recommend.
May 20, 2025 · Jessica GNice little campground. We were in spot 32 and it seemed a little smaller than some of the others, but the 5 of us had plenty of room. We used 1 tent and had to turn it diagonal so 95% of it would fit on the tent pad. There are community water spigots and trash cans throughout the grounds. They have showers and bathrooms. They seemed to be well maintained and clean. (It is a campground and not a five star resort) It takes 5 minutes to walk around the entire loop. Neighbors were fairly quiet. It was a 2 minute walk to the lake. Our site was clean when we arrived, including the fire pit and grill. Both worked well. Will definitely be returning.
Nov 18, 2024 · LetsDoIt TogetherThis campground has been our anniversary spot for the past 7 years. We really loved it. It's way out there so you can disconnect from technology and just enjoy the peace of nature. Also, no breed restriction that we've noticed. We have taken our pits here 4 times that we've camped. This year, we tried boondocking with our TT but it didn't work out. Idk if we'll ever go back to tent camping but if we do, we'd come back. Pics are old and new.
