Astor Landing Campground Reviews
We tent camped here June 13-15, 2025. It was amazing! It is mostly for RV’s, but there is at least one spot for tents right on the River! It’s a huge lot, with room for 2-3 tents, and had two picnic tables, water, and electric. It’s very private, separated from the rest of the campground by a wooden fence. The grass had been recently mowed, and there was one pile of tiny ants-not Fire ants, and they didn’t bother us. I do suggest bug spray, but that’s for anywhere camping in Florida in June! I didn’t see any mosquitoes. The bathrooms are close and SUPER CLEAN! The water temperature and pressure are better than mine at home. LOL. The whole campground is well maintained. There is a LOT of wildlife. We had a baby gator up on the bank, and mama and daddy were swimming just a few feet from the site in the early morning. The owls and birds were loud enough to wake us up at night, but it was great for the camping experience. We saw a deer on the road to town, but didn’t see any bears. We put our jet ski in next door at Powell’s Campground for $10. Our campground had a ramp, but we were a bit afraid to get in the water because of the gators close by. It would be fine for a boat. It was close to Silver Glen, Lake George, and Blue Springs. We recommend this place highly, and will surely stay again.

Mar 06, 2025 · NatalieCame here last October to check it out, the first thing I noticed was how well kept the grounds are. The restrooms were spotless clean and in fact always clean anytime I go there. We stay in our boat in the marina. The docks are sturdy and properly maintained. In fact, the owners just finished changing out nearly all the wood boards on the entire dock even though to me the original wood slats were fine. The owners have been very accommodating to the occasional requests that we have asked for and have not disappointed. The rates here, at least in the marina, are in line with what other marinas in the area charge. I can’t speak for the campground but I think their prices there were in line with others in the area.
