In fall the flys are TERRIBLE to say the least!Their outside cats will pee & poop on your stuff along with eat your food/rip apart your trash. They have 2 dogs. The dogs will come into your site and will NOT listen when being called. Make sure your dog is friendly if you wanna stay here!!!!Theres no trash can or pick up. Just a burn barrel you have to use. They dont tend to burn their trash aften taking it out so you'll have to start their trash to add yours.... recyclables get put by their back door.Theres no lights, internet doesnt work, no sewer hook ups, no bathrooms or showers, 4 sites with no personal space.Fields all around and there's no wind block(trees)so everyday its windy! Ripped apart 2 of our tents. If you dont like Coyotes dont come here. They have a den in the woods which is in the middle of the field behind the sites. There was a BUNCH! Howling all night.Only nice things were the sunset & host/s were really nice. Very beautiful sunset. - Erin Winscher

While the camping experience here is indeed rustic, it provides a chance to truly experience the Wisconsin landscape in its more natural state. It’s important to manage expectations and understand that Antler Acres Resort is not designed to mimic a full-service resort, but rather to offer a genuine connection with the land. For many local campers who have grown accustomed to the more developed campgrounds, Antler Acres Resort presents a refreshing change of pace, an opportunity to strip away distractions and focus on the core elements of camping: nature, companionship, and the peaceful rhythm of the outdoors. This unique character is precisely what appeals to a specific type of Wisconsin adventurer, one who values tranquility and wide-open vistas above all else.

Antler Acres Resort boasts a strategic location at 11628 County Rd T, Reedsville, WI 54230, USA, offering both a sense of secluded tranquility and surprisingly convenient access to nearby attractions. Reedsville itself is a charming community in Manitowoc County, known for its rural beauty. What makes this location particularly appealing to Wisconsin locals is its proximity to larger hubs and popular destinations. The campground is situated less than 30 minutes from Green Bay, a major city offering a wealth of attractions including Lambeau Field, numerous stores, a vibrant marina, and diverse dining options. This means campers can easily enjoy a day trip to the city for entertainment or to restock supplies, then return to the peaceful solitude of their campsite. This blend of rustic charm and practical accessibility is a significant advantage for those seeking a convenient escape within our beautiful state.

Given its rustic nature, Antler Acres Resort offers a more pared-down set of services. Campers should be prepared for a minimalist experience, focusing on self-sufficiency and embracing the natural environment. Based on customer feedback, the following can be expected:

  • No Formal Trash Cans or Pick-up: Guests are expected to utilize a burn barrel for combustible waste. It's advisable to be prepared to start the burn if the barrel isn't recently tended. Recyclables are managed separately, typically placed near the owners' back door.
  • Limited Utilities: There are no sewer hook-ups available. Campers should plan accordingly for waste disposal.
  • No Public Restrooms or Showers: This campground does not provide communal bathroom or shower facilities. Campers must be self-contained or prepared with personal hygiene solutions.
  • No On-Site Internet: Connectivity is not available, which encourages a true digital detox. This is a place to unplug and unwind without the distractions of the internet.
  • No Lights: Expect a natural, dark sky environment, which is excellent for stargazing but means you'll need to provide all your own lighting.
  • Friendly and Nice Hosts: Despite the limited amenities, the owners are consistently praised for their warm and welcoming demeanor, providing a positive interpersonal experience.

Antler Acres Resort offers a distinct set of features and highlights that appeal to a specific type of camper, one who values the raw beauty of Wisconsin's rural landscapes and a simpler outdoor experience. These are the unique aspects that define a stay here:

  • Spectacular Sunrises and Sunsets: The open fields surrounding the campsites provide unobstructed panoramic views, making for truly breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. This natural spectacle is consistently highlighted as a major draw and a genuinely beautiful aspect of the experience.
  • Convenient Location to Green Bay and Attractions: Despite its rustic feel, the resort is strategically located less than 30 minutes from Green Bay. This allows campers to easily access major attractions like Lambeau Field, various stores, restaurants, and a marina, offering a balance between outdoor serenity and urban convenience.
  • Friendly and Welcoming Hosts: The owners are repeatedly noted for their exceptional kindness and hospitality. Their welcoming nature significantly contributes to the positive experience for many guests, making them feel valued and at home.
  • Rustic, Back-to-Basics Camping: This is a key highlight for those seeking a less commercialized and more authentic camping adventure. The absence of extensive amenities forces a greater connection with nature and a reliance on self-sufficiency, appealing to experienced campers or those looking to truly "rough it" in comfort.
  • Open Field Environment: The campground is surrounded by fields, offering expansive views and a feeling of freedom and openness that can be rare in more wooded campgrounds. This provides a different kind of natural beauty.
  • Pet-Friendly Atmosphere (with caveats): While dogs are welcome, the presence of resident, unrestrained dogs and cats means campers with pets should ensure their animals are friendly and well-socialized. This provides an opportunity for pets to roam, but requires careful management by owners.
  • Opportunity for Stargazing: With no lights or internet, the lack of light pollution creates an ideal environment for clear, uninhibited views of the night sky, perfect for stargazing.
