Antique Acres Campground is conveniently located at Cedar Falls, IA 50613, USA. More specifically, its address is 7610 Waverly Road, Cedar Falls, IA 50613. This places it in the North Neighborhood of Cedar Falls, a vibrant city in Black Hawk County, Iowa, part of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls metropolitan area.
The location on Waverly Road suggests easy access, likely from main thoroughfares that connect Cedar Falls to other parts of Iowa. While the exact distance from major highways like US-20 or I-380 isn't explicitly stated in the provided information, its address within Cedar Falls implies good connectivity to the broader road network. This makes it a practical stop for those traveling through the region or for locals looking for a convenient camping spot not far from city amenities.
Being situated in Cedar Falls means campers have access to a wide range of services, including grocery stores, restaurants, fuel, and other retail options, all within a reasonable driving distance. This combination of a potentially quiet, rural-feeling campground with the convenience of nearby urban centers is often highly valued by campers. For Iowans, whether from the local Cedar Valley area or further afield, the campground's accessible location ensures that reaching this unique historical and camping site is straightforward.
RV Sites with Water & Electric Hookups: Antique Acres Campground provides sites equipped with water and electric hookups. While amperage details aren't explicitly stated in the provided reviews, general information indicates that it's a "modern 70-site campground" with open area camping, suggesting standard 20 Amp and 30 Amp outlets are available. This is essential for RVers seeking convenient utility access.
Dump Site On-Property: A dump site is available on the property for campers to empty their RV waste tanks. This is a crucial amenity for any RV campground, allowing for convenient waste management during or at the end of a stay.
Shower House: The campground includes a shower house. While one reviewer noted it "wasn't great," its presence offers a facility for guests who prefer using campground showers or do not have shower facilities in their RVs.
Limited Number of Sites: Reviews mention "Approx 12 sites" in one instance, while other information suggests a "modern 70-site campground." This discrepancy might indicate a smaller, more intimate camping area within a larger property, or perhaps the '12 sites' refers to a specific section. Regardless, it implies a potentially less crowded experience than very large commercial campgrounds.
Hall Rental Facilities: Antique Acres offers facilities for events, including an air-conditioned hall with kitchen facilities, and a shelter with a stage area. These are available for rent for various events such as graduations, wedding receptions, family reunions, business meetings, and camping groups, adding a versatile service for larger gatherings.
Museum and Exhibit Access: As part of Antique Acres, campers have access to a museum featuring a large collection of old farm machinery and historical artifacts. This offers an educational and engaging activity right on the grounds.
Demonstrations and Exhibitions (during events): Particularly during the annual "Old Time Power Show," the property comes alive with demonstrations (e.g., jelly-making on a vintage wood stove, horses pulling antique plows) and various exhibits, providing unique entertainment and learning opportunities.
Historical Significance and Museum: The core highlight of Antique Acres is its dedication to preserving and displaying working examples of antique threshing, steam, plowing, and saw milling machinery. The on-site museum, established in 1964, showcases historical farm equipment, some over 100 years old. This offers a unique cultural and educational experience.
Annual "Old Time Power Show": Held each August, this annual event is a major draw, featuring demonstrations, exhibits, and a captivating "Parade of Power" with antique tractors and steam engines. Campers staying during this time get a front-row seat to a vibrant historical celebration.
Quiet and Peaceful Environment: Despite the potential for events, general reviews indicate a "wonderful campground" that can be "sadly the only occupants," suggesting a quiet atmosphere for a relaxing stay outside of major event periods.
Direct Utility Access: The provision of water and electric hookups at sites ensures convenience for RVers, allowing them to power their units and access fresh water directly.
On-Site Dump Station: The presence of a dedicated dump station is a practical feature for RV campers, simplifying waste disposal.
Good Food and People (during events): Reviews mentioning "Good food, good people" suggest a positive community atmosphere, especially during the larger demonstrations and exhibitions. This implies a friendly environment and potential for social interaction.
Rural Charm with City Access: Located in Cedar Falls but with a distinctly rural feel, it offers the best of both worlds – a peaceful camping experience with easy access to the amenities of a larger city.

Antique Acres Campground Reviews
What a wonderful campground where we were sadly the only occupants. The pictures don't do the campground justice. I wish I had taken some pictures to post of my own. Approx 12 sites. The shower house wasn't great, but we didn't need to use it, so it wasn't an issue for us. Water & Electric and dump site on property.
