Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA Journey Reviews
We didn't stay in a cabin, we were in our rv. We stayed for a little over a month while we waited to move into our new home. Our site was close to the showers & laundry, which were always so clean. They have a very nice pool. The staff was always so helpful & friendly. I would name them but don't want to miss anyone! It's pretty quiet as it's located a little distance from the highway. Great place is visiting the Albuquerque area.My only complaint would be inferior internet coverage but that's not a deal killer. It still worked.
Jul 01, 2025 · Carole NicholsSome bad reviews. Ultimately, many dont know what it takes to run a business like this. Management did a good job taking care of a difficult situation where a camper was not following rules and walking into other people's camp sites and camp trailers while intoxicated. No one is perfect and ocassuonally mistakes can be made. This management has treated us well and has ran the park very well trying to take care of every situation with the goal on complete satisfaction. Unfortunately you can't please everyone.
Jul 02, 2025 · Roger Nash**Warning** this park does not maintain or trim their trees. Not big rig friendly!! Avoid..We normally like staying at KOA in general. This particular one seemed like it would be ok especially since it has 4.2 stars . Check in was good, friendly office staff. They escorted us to our big rig pull thru site, still good. Noticed that the tree at our site had a few low hanging branches. Too low for our rig to avoid in order to fully pull in. We asked the escort guy if they could trim it a bit. Escort guy came back and trimmed it. Thank you! The next morning, we were preparing to leave and noticed that there was another tree with low hanging branches blocking the way out. We asked the office person to see if someone could trim that tree so we could leave without tearing up our new rig and they sent the manager Andrew to check it out. He was a total jerk and was wound up about me even asking them to do that. He said NO and that if our rig gets scratched too bad and that i should read their KOA rules. We ended up backing out of our "pull thru" (that we paid extra for) so that we could go around a different way to avoid the obstructive tree. We have since noticed several other reviews about this same tree being in the way and Andrew's angry, aggressive, poor people skills. He really should find a different line of work. We cancelled our future stay here and will never return. KOA should step in and train this park how to properly treat customers.
Jun 23, 2025 · Steve WilliamsAndrew, the “Manager” is a piece of work as it seems others have experienced. He made it known that it was “his place” and screamed at us that we didn’t wait for the escort to go to our space when we were never told that we needed to wait for an escort. He was so busy yelling at us that he failed to let us know if we did park correctly or not. I had to call him back to our spot to ask him if we parked correctly since he was only concerned with letting us know that he was the Manager. He stated that we “almost parked on the grass”. The most unhinged thing I have ever experienced. I would not stay here again just to avoid this guys power trips.
May 21, 2025 · Regina SiquierosStaff were super friendly! Propane refill on site. RV sites were well maintained. The dog park was a nice bonus. Right down the road from several food trucks and I-25 is a mile away. Would recommend!
