Promotions or Special Offers
Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Southwoods, as part of a larger resort chain, often provides various promotions and special offers to enhance the camping experience and attract guests. While specific deals can vary by season and availability, New York locals interested in staying here should always check their official website or contact them directly for the most current information. Here are general types of promotions you might encounter:
- Seasonal Site Opportunities: A significant "offer" at Southwoods is the availability of seasonal sites. While often at full capacity, joining their waitlist allows New Yorkers to secure a long-term spot for an entire camping season, eliminating towing hassles, offering complimentary use of facilities (including pools), and providing winter storage. This is a great value for frequent campers.
- Off-Peak Season Rates: Like many campgrounds, Southwoods likely offers lower rates during the shoulder seasons (e.g., spring and fall) compared to the peak summer months and holiday weekends. This can be a great way to experience the resort at a more affordable price.
- Extended Stay Discounts: While not always explicitly advertised as promotions, weekly and monthly rates are typically more cost-effective per night than booking individual daily stays, providing savings for longer vacations.
- Themed Weekend Inclusions: Southwoods is known for its activity-packed and themed weekends. While these may not be a monetary discount on the site fee, the extensive schedule of included activities, entertainment, and events adds significant value to your stay without extra charges for many experiences.
- Group Rates: For larger parties or RV rallies, Adventure Bound Resorts often provides special group rates or packages. It's worth inquiring if you're planning a family reunion or gathering.
- Cancellation Policy Considerations: While not a "promotion," it's crucial for New Yorkers to be aware of their cancellation policy (as mentioned in one review, some Adventure Bound parks may have a "zero refund/cancellation policy" for certain bookings or circumstances). Always clarify this directly with the resort when booking to avoid misunderstandings.
To ensure you receive the best available rate and understand all terms, directly contacting Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Southwoods by phone or visiting their website for current specials is highly recommended before making a reservation.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Southwoods Reviews
Very nice, and well maintained facility!I am late in the year, so I will not comment on the swimming facilities, but everything else is super! Great clean utilities: 50 A, good water, sewer, wifi, cable tv and decent phone in most areas. A nicely equipped store, staffed by friendly people. A lot of seasonal set ups that are generally meticulously kept and also cordial to overnighters. It’s close to my home, I only came here as my granddaughter would be playing in a lacrosse event near here, but I will be back, just to relax!
Oct 11, 2024 · DJ KnappWe chose South Woods Adventure Bound for our year-end camping trip, but it was a disappointing experience. While the staff were friendly upon arrival, the campsite was clearly designed for an RV rather than a tent. If we hadn’t brought air mattresses, it would’ve been very uncomfortable. The surrounding farms must have just sprayed because the entire area reeked of manure, and the flies were unbearable. We barely slept due to train horns blaring nearby all night long. The men’s bathroom and the pools were also not very clean. When we informed the office that we were checking out a day early due to these issues, the staff member just laughed and said he was glad it was all out of his control. We definitely won’t be back, and if this is how all Adventure Bound parks are, we won’t be staying at any of them again. I’m guessing this is why they have a zero refund/cancellation policy.
Aug 18, 2024 · Heather SettergrenThis is a beautiful, VERY large campground. The grounds are gorgeous. The landscaping is pretty amazing. We stayed for one night in early September as we were passing through, with a full hookup, back in site. The sites are spacious, there is MUCH more room here than at other campgrounds! Lots of playgrounds, clean pool. The bathrooms are older, but very clean. The showers are a bit small, but also very clean. There’s more than one laundry room, but the one we saw was very nice. We received a very warm welcome at check-in. WIFI was solid. We didn’t see the entire campground, but we did walk around. We walked around the permanent sites. There are RV’s as well as modular homes. We didn’t see any RV’s or homes that looked uncared for or falling apart. All the RV’s and homes we saw were in good shape. The lots here are spacious – both for permanent sites and temporary sites. The permanent residents have gardens, sheds, decks, patios and other accessories, all of which have plenty of space and do not encroach onto neighboring sites. Nothing here looks cramped, or crammed in. We did NOT have a problem with flies, as was noted in prior reviews. All in all, an unusually beautiful and spacious campground with great amenities. We loved it. Highly recommended!! We would love to return.
Sep 10, 2024 · M VUnfortunately we will not be camping here again. After coming here for a number of years we have found the fly problem too much to deal with.Initially when it started we were told that it was an issue with the nearby farm field. But this is the third year where our outdoor experience has been completely ruined by the amount of flies constantly landing on you, your food and getting into the camper. I am talking about hundreds, not just the normal amount you would expect everywhere else. As I am sitting here, there are at least 15 on my pant leg and many more trying to land on me. We cannot eat outside at all. We will not be coming back here.
Aug 27, 2024 · Diana Anderson (lady Di)All things being simple, I've been a long time camper at this park when Mike and Sue were the owners. In that time we were thought as family and the attention for detail was above expectation. We built a Community relationship with the owners and the other seasonal campers that had made Southwoods the desirable resort that it is. Unfortunately now things are seen as corporate revenue forcing several seasonal campers who have help make this resort a home like community to be forced to leave due to costand pay for there profitable bottom line. Honest profits as a honest company is never a wrong thing but when you raise rates by 75% and hurt good people with fixed incomes you are the problem. Thanks for advertising family owned for families now that you're dismantling my camp family.
