Situated in a picturesque area of the state, this campground aims to provide a range of facilities and activities for various types of campers. As with any travel destination, understanding the full scope of what a campground offers, and considering the experiences of past visitors, can help in making an informed decision for your next outdoor adventure in Kentucky.
Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagle Valley is designed to cater to both short-term visitors and those looking for a longer-term seasonal stay, offering a place where families can gather and enjoy the outdoors. While the promise of a fun-filled environment is attractive, it's worth noting that some recent guest feedback has highlighted areas for improvement regarding upkeep and certain amenities. However, every camping experience is unique, and for those who prioritize specific features, a closer look at what the resort provides is beneficial.
Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagle Valley is located at 1100 Eagle Valley Rd, Sanders, KY 41083, USA. This address places it within Carroll County, in a more rural and scenic part of Kentucky. Its location is designed to offer a sense of escape from urban hustle, providing a setting where nature can be enjoyed. For Kentuckians coming from Louisville, Lexington, or other parts of the state, accessing the campground involves traveling through local roads that some visitors have described as narrow, with a single-lane bridge and another bridge reportedly having a 3-ton limit sign. While these roads lead to a secluded environment, larger rigs or those with concerns about bridge limits may wish to consider these access points carefully before traveling.
Despite these access considerations, the campground's location positions it within reach of various local attractions and natural areas. It's a place where you can disconnect and enjoy the quiet surroundings, yet still be able to venture out for supplies or explore nearby communities. Proximity to the Ohio River offers potential for outdoor activities, and the surrounding rural landscape provides a tranquil backdrop for your camping experience.
Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagle Valley offers a range of services and facilities intended to make your stay comfortable and engaging. While some aspects of maintenance and service have received varied feedback, the intent is to provide essential amenities for a camping trip.
- RV campsites designed to accommodate various sizes of recreational vehicles.
- Cabin rentals are available for those without an RV or who prefer a different lodging experience.
- Reported full hookups at sites, including water, electric, and sewer connections (though water pressure has been noted as low by some).
- A swimming pool for recreation and cooling off, described by some as "smaller but looked nice," though cleanliness concerns have been raised by other reviewers.
- A water slide within the pool area, though its operating hours and maintenance have been points of concern for some guests.
- Restroom and shower facilities (while cleanliness has been a point of discussion in reviews, these are generally provided at campgrounds).
- Laundry facilities for guest convenience (though condition and cleanliness may vary).
- Propane service (typically available at many campgrounds, though not specifically detailed in provided reviews).
- A camp store for basic supplies and essentials (common for resorts of this type).
- Planned activities (some reviewers mention games, movies, and other organized fun, though this could be seasonal).
The campground also highlights several features that aim to enhance the overall camping experience for its guests. While some aspects have drawn criticism, the potential for enjoyment still exists for those with specific preferences.
- Family-friendly atmosphere with a focus on activities for children.
- A range of seasonal sites available for those looking for longer-term stays and a sense of community.
- The presence of numerous golf carts, which, while convenient for navigating the grounds, have contributed to dust issues on ungraveled roads, as reported by some.
- Opportunities for interaction with other campers, fostering a community feel, particularly among seasonal residents.
- A rural setting that offers a degree of peacefulness, away from the immediate rush of urban life.
- Potential for observing local wildlife and enjoying the natural scenery of Eagle Valley.
- Located within reasonable driving distance of other attractions in the wider Kentucky region for day trips.
- While cell service and Wi-Fi have been reported as poor or non-existent by some guests, this can be an opportunity for a truly "unplugged" camping experience for those who prefer to disconnect.
- The campground structure with separate seasonal sites offering a sense of "at home" living for some long-term residents.

In conclusion, for Kentuckians considering a camping trip, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagle Valley offers a rural retreat with a range of facilities. While recent customer reviews highlight concerns about road conditions, water pressure, cell service, and maintenance of some amenities like the pool and cabins, every individual's experience can differ. The campground's family-friendly intent and the presence of activities provide a potential framework for enjoyable stays.
Locals from Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, or other parts of Kentucky who are accustomed to more rustic camping or are seeking an unplugged experience might find appeal in this setting. However, those relying on strong cell service, high water pressure for modern RV systems, or pristine conditions in all facilities may wish to manage their expectations or inquire thoroughly before booking. For campers who value a sense of community, enjoy golf cart culture, and are prepared for a potentially more "rugged" resort experience, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagle Valley remains an option for exploring the beauty of Sanders, Kentucky, and making your own camping memories.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagle Valley Reviews
This will be our one and only stay at this campground. The roads in the campground no longer have gravel on them so dust is a major issue. There are just about as many golf carts driving around as people camping. The golf carts kick up so much dust it’s almost unbearable. The water pressure is extremely low. We have a tankless water heater and the water pressure is so low it doesn’t activate the water heater. There are seasonal sites that are covered with items from owners. Many seasonal sites had grass as tall as the bottom of campers. It’s not enjoyable to walk around with the amount of golf carts and dust. We paid for 3 nights and ended up only staying 1 night. There is no cell service so if you would have an emergency you are out of luck. The price per night is like paying for a Ritz Carlton and getting a Red Roof Inn experience. The pool was smaller but looked nice. The drive in goes through tight roads and two bridges. One bridge is a single lane and another has a 3 ton limit sign by it. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and drive a few more miles to stay at General Butler Campground. Half of the campground lost power on a 90 degree day and no one came around to let you know what happened or how long it may be fixed. When asked about a refund for not having power we were told we have to wait and see what happens. After almost 3 hours of no power we decided to pack up and leave.
Jul 05, 2025 · Matt RohdenburgI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STAY!!!!! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!!!! I will for warn everyone since the staff won't, if you are driving a big rig there is a narrow bridge that only holds 9 tons to get to this campground. The website says its a fully equipped kitchen, it is not, they have like 3 pots and a strainer for spaghetti, they don't have flat baking sheets, oven mitts, they don't supply rags, even though on the check out list it says to place dirty rags in the sink, they don't supply hand towels either, you really have to pack everything but your kitchen sink to stay at these cabins. The cabin was filthy, there was trash in the upper bunk. The water pressure in the cabins is just a mist so good luck getting all the soap off and for the hot water you have to turn it all the way to hot or it wont be warm at all. The refrigerator was not on the correct setting so make sure you check that, all the lights need to be lit up in order for your stuff to get cold. The mirror in the bathroom has been installed way too high for us short people. The fire extinguisher is within arms reach of small children, which can be deadly, so make sure you watch your children. Also the TV doesn't work well, make sure you check the tv remote because ours did not have batteries in it, and no wifi and cell service is terrible too. So if you have small children with tablets for at night time, just a heads up. As for the pool, that was disgustingly dirty I didnt even want to swim in it, the slide as well, it had moss in the bottom. The lifeguard for the pool was very rude, kicked my nephew off without warning cause he was gonna go head first and she said no and kicked him out, keep in mind this is our first time and didnt know the rules. Then the 2nd time he went to get in the slide and fell, apparently its rough and he almost went headfirst down it and she automatically told him to get off. They only keep the water slide open from 10-3 or 4pm which is ridiculous. They need to put a sign up saying this is only open when lifeguard on duty not still have the sign up that says "no lifeguard on duty." The maintenance guy, and Heather are very rude unhappy people to the customers too, a couple went to get on the water slide not knowing there has to be a lifeguard on duty and yelled very rudely to them to get down. This place has soooo much potential and really could be a good place to camp with your family but needs to be run under different management and much friendlier people.
Jun 29, 2025 · Miranda KaeffThis was our 4th time at the campsite we usually book sun -tues during slow part of the week Usually we have an amazing time but this time sadly to say the pool was filthy not vacumed ,very cloudy and I literally had to go to office yesterday at 1pm(monday june 30th) to have them unlock the pool gate for us to swim only to find it dirtySo our 3 day gettaway this time definitely was a disapointment ...Hopefully if we decide to come back the pool will be in cleaned and ready for swimmers
Jul 01, 2025 · Joy PerezThe employees there are very friendly and helpful. Love the grounds. Can swim in the pool and fish in the lakes. Great times
May 21, 2025 · Maureen WilliamsonMy family and I stayed for the 4th of July weekend. We expected higher crowds than usual, but the pool was too packed and there should have been employee supervision--kids were mindlessly jumping in the pool next to swimmers. The deluxe cabin was a great fit. The queen mattress is incredibly uncomfortable and so are the twin beds. The sites are near a few ponds so after the rain, there are some areas flooded more than others.I would visit again when the holiday crowds aren't so extreme.
