This isn't a place with amenities or a camp host; it's a true boondocking gem, offering a rare opportunity for secluded and private camping. It's an ideal spot for tent campers or anyone who is fully self-sufficient and ready to embrace the simplicity of nature.
This spot has gained a reputation as a "gem" among those who have found it, praised for its peaceful and private atmosphere. Unlike many popular campgrounds that can feel crowded, this location is known for its sense of seclusion, providing a quiet retreat from the world. It’s a place where you can unwind by a small stream, cook over a stone fire ring, and simply enjoy the rugged beauty that Wyoming is famous for. While it may not offer the comforts of home, it delivers something far more valuable: an authentic and undisturbed outdoor experience.
The 2 Campsites on BLM are located near Sweetwater Station, WY 82520, USA. While the exact location is somewhat discreet, it's known to be situated off a "fairly busy road on weekends," yet still manages to maintain a sense of seclusion. The drive in can be a bit challenging, particularly for larger recreational vehicles (RVs). As one reviewer noted, the road can be "bad with an RV." It is generally recommended for those in a tent or a vehicle that can handle a rougher, more primitive road. This very inaccessibility is what helps preserve the site's quiet and private character.
Its location makes it a great spot for those who are knowledgeable about navigating public lands and who are well-prepared for an off-grid experience. Because of the rugged nature of the access road, it’s always a good idea to check local conditions, especially after heavy rain or snow, and to be prepared with a vehicle that is up to the task. This is not a place for the faint of heart, but for the prepared adventurer, its remote location is its greatest asset. The tranquility and sense of accomplishment that come with reaching such a private spot are what make it truly special.
